Default What to replace when doing a plenum and with what parts?

I know this has been covered over and over again and I apologize in advance for you guys to have to keep doing it but can someone add a sticky or edit the original stickied plenum thread to state a list of recommeneded parts to replace while your down there on a healthy ram? I have a general idea but I'm still unsure about some of it and it would save someone a lot of research and time I've put into myself.
I plan on doing my plenum in 2-3 weeks maybe more and I want to buy the best bang for your buck stuff. I want to replace the plenum and add a e fan.
This is what I've decided IMO as the best
Hughes plenum plate from hughes
Ntk o2 sensors from rockauto
Comp Double roller timing set from amazon
Waterpump? Haven't decided
Gaskets from advance auto
What else? And what brand?

Thanks a lot in advance. If there's a thread that already covered this you can gladly laugh at me and point me in the right direction. Thanks

Fel Pro gaskets.
Replace the water pump, you are going to have it off anyway.
Heater bypass hose. (little short feller, goes from the w/p, to the intake.)
any other hoses that make you nervous.
check your cat, make sure it isn't clogged, or, if you can get away with it, just hollow it out.
Oil change.
Coolant flush?

Well the oil change would cause way too much controversy if I put what brand and I thought it was stated on the plenum thread to do it anyways. The coolant flush is definitely not a bad idea. I meant What brand water pump should I get? I know I should replace it, I've done some homework lol

Doesn't matter what brand WP, get a new one, not a rebuilt unit.

i'd shop at rockauto and/or amazon for best pricing, and do this:
water pump bypass hose.
waterpump, new/not rebuilt. don't buy the cheapest one and look for one with a lifetime warranty.
Stant Superstat thermostat. 195* or 180* your call. some people get a CEL w/180, also little heat in the winter.
hughes plate, plate bolts, intake bolts, intake gasket set (felpro)
a little rtv for the intake gasket intersection/corners.
coolant temp sensor(s). 2 in older years. 1 in newer years.
tune up. cap, rotor, plugs. i'd do wires too, but that's just me.
remove/discard the spark plug heat shields.
serpentine belt. goodyear or dayco, not the cheapo one.
antifreeze and distilled water. walmart.
consider top and bottom radiator hoses.
inspect/consider heater hoses.
drain and flush the block. drain plugs behind engine mounts.
check valve cover gaskets for leaks. this is a good time to replace them. felpro. they're damn'ed expensive.
you'll need a 3/8 fuel line disconnect tool. cheap one is ok. don't remove the injectors from the rail, nor the rail from the intake. consider not removing throttle body from intake.
the hardest part is getting the fan off. heyyou suggests a hammer, didn't work for me. i unbolted wp to get the damn fan off.

Wow thanks for the list, I think I got everything I need unless someone else can chime in. I'll start ordering tomorrow. I want to get my engine running amazing again and see what this 5.9 gas guzzler can do. I'm going to get a Taurus fan and a controller too so I'm going to buy everything slowly but surely over the next two weeks whenever I get money. How much did it cost you to change the plenum and everything else? I saw someones post where they spent 600ish but they bought it all at autozone and that's going to be more. I really hope i can spend under 400 (probably not going to happen) after everything including the 100 dollar fan controller and 120 dollar plenum plate.

Get a PCV from the dealer. And don't forget the cat is probably toast if the plenum is blown.

And it would also be nice if you added ALL the info about your truck, to your sig.
