lift question
So i installed 2.5" coil spring spacers in the front about a month ago, and now i want to lift the back, i am looking at add a leafs on suspension connection and they have 2" add a leafs for 67.99 (pair) , i am really strapped for money so i asked the guy on the phone if i would need to buy 0-3" shocks and he said hold on and came back and said no (of course he would)
first question......would i need to buy 0-3" shocks?
and would i really gain 2" out of it?
thanks

I put a 3" coil spacer up front and lifted the rear 2" and bought the rough country 2-3" shocks. You might be able to run the stock shocks, but i would recommend buying some for your lift size. I think mine were around $120 for all four.
When i was lifting my truck a few years back i wanna say that you need new shocks for anything over 2.5" up front and 0.5" in the rear. I could be wrong though. So you could get away with not having to buy any up front.

I am not a big lover of these but times are tuff;for your front shocks you could use a shock extender for a little while, for the back I would set the truck on the ground extend the shocks and see how much they extend past the mount 6"+ would be good, it must extend past the mount by at least 4" if not get two new shocks. If your leaf springs are in good shape the add a leaf will lift to the spec hight. I have add a leafs and airbags, load range e tires, yes it rides like a truck cuz it is a truck. Short shocks will limit Axel droop and flex so light wheeling only till you get the right shocks.

Another fix for the front is take off the factory three leg mount, cut out a circle of steel, drill three mount holes and a hole in the center for the shock, bolt it on in the place of the three leg mount.
Well, if money is a problem, you can also just get blocks for the rear. And for 2" I think the stock shocks should be fine. From what I've read on here, 3" and up you want longer shocks.

i forgot to mention that i did buy 0-3" shocks from rough country (which by the way ride like crap!)
i would like to just do a block instead of aal's but we'll see, thanks everyone
