Go offloading; just know your trucks limits and all will be good. Make sure your trucks running good before playing with gears and lsd stuff. Make sure you read about the plenum gasket and deal with that first. Have you looked for a death flash sticker yet.
If i don't plan on going off roading do i still have to change my gear ratio for 5 inches of lift and 35inch tires i will change my gears eventually but idk when for sure.
Why do you have to change the front gears on a 2wd? Isn't that what he said he had? And if you don't mind getting worse gas mileage and possibly a new tranny i don't see why not
rumblebee wasn't the OP, he has a 4x4. and gears would make the transmission happy, not sure about the gas mileage, I did 4.56's on mine but now my speedo is off so I can't comment to that.
I was saying if he left the stock gears and put 35's on he'd get horrible in town driving (assuming he has 3.55 but these things get horrible mileage anyways so you probably wouldnt notice)
Anything that changes effective gear ratio is going to affect drivability, fuel economy (sorta) and trans longevity...... 3.55's and 35 inch tires are going to seriously beat up your low speed drivability, and take a toll on your trans. 33's will be the same, just to a slightly lesser extent.
