It means you need to replace your computer.

DO NOT replace it with one from autocomputerexchange. They are horrible! Go local. Get a reman unit done by cardone. Once I got a good one, no problems since

This page can set you straight.

Just trust me, don't go through ACE, They jerked me around and after 2 computers from them (neither worked), I gave up. You are correct that you don't notice any driveability concerns... so as long as you don't need inspection, you'll be good for a while. That was the reason I knew I had to replace mine sooner or later. To answer your question, no a flash won't fix it. To complicate things with mine, my code was set while I had my superchips flash in there... and couldn't un-program it lol.

has your gas mileage changed at all? You could try resetting the PCM, (disconnect the battery for a couple minutes) and see if the code comes back. If it does, you should replace it.

It doesn't show up right after you pull the cable. However it does return on a test drive or two afterwords. You can't get rid of this one without pcm replacement.

Hopefully you have a 3815 or a 3865. Your going to have to call superchips, explain what happened and see if they can fix you up. They took care of me.
