Although I too have provided a few people with the link for replacing the HC without touching the AC. There is NO way I would do that myself. The Evap core is almost just as common a problem as the HC is. You can't clean the box out properly(all the crap in there is the problem), and the evap core should be replaced at the same time. Unless of course you want to tear the whole thing apart again.

Same as the heater core. (the 'right™' way) it involves removing the heater box/vents etc, completely from the truck, and opening it up. Evap core will come with it. Requires evacuating the A/C system though, and then putting it under vacuum, and recharging.
The right way can be found in the FAQ/DIY section. As in the original link posted here by someone.
