v10 RAM no start....frustrated
tranny doesnt start in 1st gear, swapped trans relay with different relay and started in 1st but didnt shift out of it....i'm gonna get the correct relay for in there and go from there.
it acts like it starts in 3rd. if i manually go to first, it goes dropps to 2nd and i can shift to drive and it hits 3rd, od button works sometimes, but others it sticks on and i can switch od in to gear

Sorry, I for one am not knowledgeable enough with transmissions to give you a good answer. Other than replacing the solenoids and checking wires(interior and exterior, tranny) and the plugs/connectors. From what I've read here, the TC could be bad. Wait for MonteC to reply or start a new thread he might see. Good luck, hope it works out cheap.
after such time in a horrifying event , i have finnally fixed the 96 ram v10, the transmission 8 pin plug was destroyed in what looks to be rodent activity....
after 1 hr in a dodge boneyard i found a nice clean wiring harness that i dismanteled with my dikes, return to the shop solder and heat shrink 8 wires, n the job is done
shifts smooth runs great, down shift good, od button works perfect....no check engine lights no codes , just a smooth running v10 machine
thanks dodge forum!!
p.s. _ i think i pissed about 12 hrs on it...but well worth it to me, should pull the camper perrrty nice!
