Ok ill check that. Oh boy hope my gears aint roasted. What would cause my shifter to be hard to shift into gears? I really had to pull hard to get it from park to drive and from drive to reverse? But not it works fine or should I forget about that since it works. What type of gear oil do I want to put back in rear diff.

I use 80/90 with mopar additive, thats me. I am not a auto tranny guy so I hope that someone else will chime in on that, could be binding shift linkage worn out linkage bushings. It won't be your ring and pinion it will be the lsd pack and carrier.

Don't forget to check the vacuum per link I provided. If the vac switch on the TC is bad, the front axle may be trying to engage or not disengaging fully(hence grinding noise). That's the only reason I mentioned it earlier. And check the linkage too.
