Ok just what are you working on? I have never seen that type of flange on a Ram truck rear diff. Do you have the aluminum driveshaft?

Vise grips and a propane torch should solve that bolt issue. gdstock a very good tip

Its a 2000 1500. Pretty much bone stock drivetrain except for the 4.10 yukon gears in the rear. Hence why im planning on leaving front driveshaft out since they are still 3.55's i beleive

Thank for that info, I have learned something new today! It seems by the parts books that it changed in 2000, The image is still the same but it is called a flange yoke, were as the 99 and under is just a yoke. I think that your set up would be a good up grade.

I never took notice. I have 3 generations of Rams sitting in my driveway so i guess i learn something new everyday.. on another note.

I did some searching on here about my second problem with the truck but there is something else that i havent found on here. While driving it for the last time over a month ago my Speedo wouldnt kick in till around 25-30mph and my abs and brake light are on. That being said it is pointing towards a wheel speed sensor. But on top of all of this it will not shift out of first gear until about 3,800 or 4,000 rpm.. Is this also due to the wheel speed sensor or did I have the triple whammy here with the TC, Sensor and tranny??

To get the broken bolt out, weld a nut on the end and then you can use a wrench. Also there's a product called freeze and release that is supposed to help, but I haven't tried it to know if it really works, just another option to try if all else fails.

Probably the sensor on top of the rear diff for the abs and brake light. As far as the not shifting goes, you most likely have a clogged Governor solenoid. There is also a speed sensor on the side of the tranny.

if the heating doesnt work i will try welding a nut on to remove it. Zman is the solenoid something that i could do myself if that is the actual problem? and how much would something like that cost me?
