I dont know all the differences in speedo sensors between my truck and yours, but after i did my clutch i forgot to tie the speedo wires back up and the front driveshaft ate through it. this caused the speedo to recieve its input from the roataing wieghts on the driveshaft as they made their cycles, resulting in speedometer behavior similar to the use of cocaine. Also an annoying side effect of this was that the motor would shut off randomly. I have a manual tranny so i cant help there but computers are wierd...hence the motor shutting off cuz of a speedo wire. Its possible it is all related.

Interesting how that Speedo sensor can mess everything in the truck up.
