Default 99 ram odd startup and idle????

It starts as it always does but flashes up 10 1000 rpms then drops to about shutting(or totaly shutting off) off then levels out to usual idle or a bit lower than normal. I have had this issue before and posted here but can not find that thread. I do not remember what the solution was I will be thankful for any help.
No computer codes present vacuum is normal.

Cleaning the throttle body is usually what's recommended, but, I think you have done that in recent memory?

Check the TPS, make sure it's within spec, if that's ok, might be IAC getting lazy.

There is the thread from before, I could not find it yesterday......

I went out early today and was looking at the tb, all was well still looks clean, looked in the plennum and that was clean....well not oily any way will be doing a sea foam clean up later today.

I came in and found the thread and noticed the battery thing, so I pulled my post covers and the - was fine but the + looked like a blue salt mine! I ran out to wally world and got a 2 liter seltzer water and got to work, I need a new terminal now but I think this is the problem......maybe will report back as soon as the parts store opens.

Just for future info. Looking at the TB and seeing that it's clean is not an indication of whether or not the IAC and the port it installs into is clean. At any rate, glad you figured it. Bad connections at the battery or a weak battery can certainly cause the same issue.
