it is odd why do half tons sell for so cheap?

my 01 2500 with the 360 161k is still blue books at/around 8500-8700 and my dads 2001 dodge ram 1500 360 4x4 with 85k blue books at 3500

and i can driveinto town and i know off the top of my hear where there is three 1/2ton dodges in great shape for under 3500

but you look on craigslist or locally and any 2500 3500 that are gas powered are still up high even for ones in fair shape

ny the way very nice dodge that one half ton i actually like. its a nice blue color

 

Because everyone wants A 3/4 ton, they all look better (f-250, chevy 2500, gmc 2500) they all have body upgrades that everyone wants (including me). They also come stock with better parts such as axles

 

And i picked mine up for $750

 

Did it have a drivetrain?!?!?

 

i picked mine up 4 years ago with 90k for 9100. which i'm happy with its a 01 all black interior beside the stupid head liner but when i got the truck it was in mint shape not one dent scratch or stain or smell anywhere in or out of the truck. now its got small dents mainly to the bed and tail gate...... reminds i need to found a new box and tail gate
