if your diff ever does go bad, it is actually cheaper to get a new posi unit than it is to get new parts and the rebuild.
New Auburn 4.10 posi on my truck was:
$530 for the posi (AUB 54270)
$198 for labor
--------------
$728 total
It was cheaper than a rebuild to fix crappy backlash. Warranty covered it but that was on the invoice.

Kinda means its good enough for most people but I want it running good and safe enough that I'm not worried about puring my kid on it and going on a trip. Some of the noises the trans makes makes me nervous since I don't want to screw the trans up its parked until I got the money to fix it right. Thought I would check the rest out while waiting on parts to fix the trans. So that's kinda I can drive ot but don't.

So far the list of needs fixed are:
rear main seal
U joints
clutch kit
Fluids
Check lsd
Headliner
Cat converter
I bought the truck a few weeks ago for $200 so I figure I can throw a bit of money at it and be ahead. The biggest problem is I turn wrenches all day and don't want to when I get home. Bit I will get this truck going
