Default Oil buildup in air box

I have a 01 ram with 60,000 miles and I went to change the air filter yesterday and noticed oil buildup in the air box from the tube without the pcv valve connected to it. I just put in a new pcv valve two months ago. Could it be blowby or the plenum or something else? I also have a p0455 code but i dont think this has anything to do with it

start the engine, and let it idle, take off the oil fill cap. There should be a slight vacuum there. Is there?

Replace the PCV valve with one from the dealer.

also check the vac hose and intake port that the pcv is attached to. blow it out and make sure its clear of gunk or sludge.

also make sure your vac hoses are routed correctly. pcv should connect to intake. on the opposite side there should be a hose from valve cover elbow to breather. it looks similar to pcv but its just an elbow.
