Default 2001 Dodge Ram 1500 Hub Assembly

Just had my Left Frt Hub Assembly Replaced. I noticed the next day Oil around my Wheel Well. Checked it and it's now the Front Axle Leaking. My question is by beating on the hub make my seal go bad? Truck is a 2001 Dodge Ram 1500 4x4

Who replaced the hub? If it was a shop, they probably screwed up the seal doing the hub..... If the axle moves around too much in there, or, there was a bunch of crap in there, and it got between the seal, and the axle...... leak city, here I come.

Thanks HeyYou, Yes it was a shop $667.00 later, like the next day I noticed this oil and still wet I checked it out today and noticed it coming from the axle. I called them and they want to look at it. I hope they eat all cost cause this wasn't leaking till they replaced the hub.

hold firm - say - it wasn't leaking before you replaced the hub, now it is - you fix it on your dime.

they will say -
all dodges do that.
that happens sometimes and we're not responsible.
your truck is 10 years old and it was time for the seals to wear out.
we'll fix it for another $500

do not nod.
do not blink.
do not say ok.

simply repeat - - it wasn't leaking before you replaced the hub, now it is - you fix it on your dime.

Dropped off the truck tonight, I signed the work order with $0.00 on it. Should be done tomorrow. They didn't deny it didn't happen when working on the hub assembly. I'll update you when done.

Sweet. If you get it back tomorrow with no extra cost, I'd say you found yourself a very good shop.

Shop just called, they wanted me to come down so they can show me where the seal is. Told them I know where it is, inside the diff case. We are in dispute about this matter right now upon them stating it's not their fault. I know it was going to easy.Waiting on consumer service to call back. ZMan Go Yankees!!!
