soldered 8 wires and heatshrink about 5 inches from plug and tranny shifts smooth and od works perfect, downsshift is great

thanks to everyone that helped on dodge forum----the best!

PROBLEM FIXED!

At first I was wondering how this happened, but in the original thread, it appears the tranny was replaced 650 miles ago. The PO couldn't get the plug off and just tore it off. Or didn't see it and dropped the tranny with it still connected. Either way, that might a problem.

13 year old (and change....) thread....

I believe he found that the wires were pulling out of the 8 pin connector down at the trans, and shorting together. Not an uncommon happenstance for these trucks.
