Koyo's have a great reputation with the ricer crowd. Should be fine.

Now, ya just gotta get 'em installed.... how much did you pay, and where did you get them from?

I got them from Driveline parts. They are motive gears with Koyo bearings. I paid 550 for the set

wow.... good price.

Next question that comes up though is, what gears ya have in there now? I am thinkin' you need thick cut gears for the front, otherwise, you need a different carrier, rear isn't an issue.

J ust ordered the ones they stated I needed so at this point I'm not sure if they are thick cut or not. I did talk to man from some shop in the past and he stated I wouldn't need the thick cut gears, but who am I.

The only reason I can aford to do this now is I got a new job running the paint and body shop and the head man there told me he would do my gears as long as I help. I also think I should go ahead and put new U-joints up front when I have it apart

I think you need the thick cut gears on the front. (as you probably have the 4.10 and down carrier.....)

I would jump on the deal for the install.......

@Lastrights: No one in Pittsburgh? installs gears? Really?????? That seems really odd.

Even the factory 4.10's were thick cut. Also while you're in there replace the alignment bushing where the 2 half shafts meet on the passenger side. I'll bet money it's toast. The factory one is a roller bearing but the replacements are plastic so dont freak out when you see the new one like I did lol.
