I think I would pop in a new injector and see what happens. What does an injector cost? What would be the rate of return IF that solved the problem?

Swap 'em first. No cost test.... if the miss moves with the injector, it's bad, if the miss stays on number four, and everything else checks out, PCM. (My money is on the PCM at this point.)

Get at least 8 new orings before you do the swap. Or even if you get a new one.

No, it's not a programming failure, its a hardware failure. He needs a new PCM.

Can get one from a junkyard, and then just take it to a shop/the dealer, to have it flashed for your VIN, and Mileage. (if applicable....) Stay away from Auto Computer Exchange, they suck. Parts store should be able to get one for ya. Dealer could too, but, they will want an arm, leg, first born male child, and half your soul...... Then they will ask about installation/flash updating......

Oh? Is that the REAL Story? You need a part only the dealer had?
