My brother's in law (I have 3) did a Hemi rebuild on an '04. It turned out ok for a little bit, now it sits in the back yard again. A big part of the reason? Too much Bud Light while working. No ****.

that's a shame.. for what it's worth, my truck prefers newcastle or killians.. every time I put bud light in it, it gets crappy and starts a fight..

Ok, Parts got here a day late. So i got started, and got it all taken apart. But not without trouble turns out at some point some one has attemped some sort of intake work. who ever it was is a !@#$% idot. they broke two of the bolts and insted of fixing them they just put the head of the bolt back in the hole. After getting the intake out and turning it over sure enough the plenum gasket was blown out in about four spots. So tomarrow i'll remove the broke bolts and get things back together time permitting.

I'm sure it will, in fact i'm almost done i just ran out of time today dealing with those two bolts. Just got to put the new battery back in, do the fluids, get her started, and the test drive.

Well i got it all together and took her for a test drive. No knocking and running temps are lower which is great. The truck does seem to have a little bit more power than before. The only thing that concerns me a little is the idle rpms dropped from about 800 to about 650; but i think that may just be the computer adjusting to everything being fixed. I think the idle rpms are suppose to be around 700ish i forgot to look that up. But the truck seems to be running fine.

Make sure all vacuum lines are connected to the manifold . Do you still have a ticking noise ?

Yes, there is a clicking noise but its not continous its ever couple of minutes. I think that's the AC unit. I double checked the vaccum lines before buttoning every thing up two make sure they were all hooked backup. I marked everything when i took it all apart. The noise that was the problem is gone after fixing the plenum.
