Default Automatic to manual

How difficult is it to change a 95 ram4x4 from Auto to manual? What needs to be changed other than the Trans and drive shaft?

If you keep the 4x4, shouldn't have to change the driveshaft, might have to change the T-case though, if trans output shafts are different...... (not sure on that.)

Need the trans, T-case??, pedal assembly, clutch hydraulics, bellhousing, flywheel, p-plate, clutch (obviously....), PCM, and wiring harness from the donor vehicle. (If you don't swap PCM and wiring harness, you will ALWAYS have a CEL on, for trans codes from a trans that isn't there any more.) There are a couple threads on this here.....

I've been trying to do this for the last two weeks since my trucks transmission died but I've had no luck finding a stick dodge ram, maybe you'll get lucky. If you want some thread links I have about 15 good ones.

Oh and where do you find wrecked trucks other than calling all the junkyards on google within a 50 mile radius and looking on craigslist and eBay? This has been my biggest problem trying to do the swap.

Don't beat around the bush, Just say, do a search in the 2nd gen ram section.

There are only a couple people that have attempted this on here(in recent history), so it shouldn't be too hard to find. Basically you need a donor truck parked next to you.

JYs have a network. Google is helpful, but not always the best. Go to JY and see if they can/will help you.

here's a site with all salvage or insurance trucks (and cars)
The link is right to full size dodge trucks '94-'01. There is no exact ram 1500 search so it's all full size.
I found this website and am going to be bidding on a '09 2500 for my boss tomorrow.

That's great! It's probably gonna cost me some money! Looks like auctions all over!

They are all auctions. But, you would be surprised by the selling prices. I looked for a little while and here is one that is a 1500 standard http://www.autobidmaster.com/carfind...TY_ABILENE_TX/
