Default Drive Shaft

I've got a question for you guys now. I was just backing into my driveway, knew my u-joint was getting bad. Put the truck in reverse, and pop, driveshaft in the driveway. The C shaped clips (I guess you can call them clips) with the bolts in them came loose and fell out. I would like to replace the driveshaft and yolk (assuming thats the proper name. Piece connected to the rear end) as the driveshaft has a few dings in it and the yolk is wore a little.

question is, will only a driveshaft from a 4X4 work? I know where I can get a 2wd shaft but i'm unsure it if will work. The truck is a 5spd standard (nv3500 I Believe)

Thanks for the reply. Truck is a 1500. I'll check the local scrap yard tomorrow, see whats kicking around. Any 4x4 d-shaft will fit?

Has to be from the same weight rating, same bed length, and same cab style as yours.

Or just the same length. If it fits it fits. Don't be scared to try what the yard has, just take yours in there (or measurements) and see whats up! Then post here when you find which ones interchange! So we can all learn from your experience!

EDIT: also not 100% sure but i think the club/quad cab sb's have the same wheelbase as reg cab lb's... I think.
