Default What size inlet Magnaflow Y-pipe? Stock down pipes

I'm cutting out the stock Y pipe from my exhaust pipes as recommended. I am bumping up to 3" pipe from the Y. I need to know what size should I get for the Y inlet from the stock down pipes? My guess is that it's the 2.5" inlet to 3" outlet. My local exhaust shop advised not doing this, but they don't drive a 2nd gen Ram.

Check the stickied plenum thread at the top of this forum. That is probably the cause of your ills.

um, I don't see it, thank you tho...I do plan on pulling the tb off and checking for oil inside the intake manifold, I think that's a way to find out if the plenum is shot..just got the tb gasket so I'm ready to go..
