You don't have to pull the TC cover off again to verify TDC. Just the valve cover and the dist. cap.

then it should line up on that mark on the harmonic balencer and it should be straight on with the TC cover right?

timing is way off when cyl #1 is TDC the rotor is sidways. not straight up n down

No, that means you have to do what I suggested/provided links for to begin with.

His problem is, that he rotated the cam and crank, when doing a simple timing chain and gear swap. just my opinion though. If I'm wrong, I apologize in advance.
