I want to redo my exhaust and what set up should I run
I want to change my exhaust. The PO put a dynomax super turbo muffler on the truck and passange side exiting exhaust. Its not bad and sounds suprizing good when u get on it. I like the throaty sound when u get on it. I had a jeep wrangler I put a flowmaster super 40 on with jba high flow headers and it sounded good. Headers made it a little louder not much. On the truck I just want to get a throaty deep sound. Doesnt have to be the loudest but I want that deep big block sound. Any suggestions, sets up. How should I run it. It seems to be really popular to have dual exhaust on rams. Thanks guys. I'm thinking either a flowmaster 40, 50 series, maybe dynomax the one thats more for trucks. Open to ideas. thanks
any advice to what set up and why would be awesome. I'm just not really trying to replace the headers as I've done that on my wrangler and not really trying to do that on the truck rite now. Other then that I'm all in.
It's where the 2 exhaust pipes meet from the exhaust manifold, it's very restrictive and anything you do will be poorly affected by the factory y pipe. Jeg's make a good OffRoad Y Pipe for the Ram.
You could always run true dual's and eliminate the Y pipe all together. Run some HighFlow MagnaFlow Cats with some MagnaFlow muffler's, it should sound pretty sweet.

When you select 1999 Dodge, Jegs website show only Van when you look for 1500. Not sure 2500 would work...
To the OP. Is the muffler single in dual out? If so, I'd be more then happy to trade you my super 40 for you super turbo. I always loved the sound of the super turbo's mellow tone.
