High beam issue

Default High beam issue

OK, so i bought my truck from this guy a day or two ago, and the high beam light is on in the cluster but the lights are not on, it stays on all the time, dont know were to begin this one....any suggestions?

Check the wiring for the headlights. Add your truck info to your sig, and profile, so we can see what you have.

So when i check my wiring am i looking for shorts? or incorrect wires?

Do headlights come on? If not, check fuses. You can find service manual here and look at wiring diagrams. 2nd Generation Dodge Ram Service Manuals

ya headlights come on fine signal work, highbeams work when i hit the switch, but the little light on the cluster always stays on and i dont know why

Are they stock headlights? I've heard that some aftermarkets cause problems like that. I think it was mostly the projectors.

bone stock nothings been changed on the truck, the guy said that the inst. cluster was changed thats about it

Well, that makes a difference. Look at the service manual and check the instrument cluster wiring. Something has that indicator grounded when it shouldn't be.
