my main plans with the truck are to do the keggar mod... sometime in the future do the FI air gap intake from Hughes the 600 bones one... HS 1.7 RR and headers true dual exhaust ac delete and double roller timing chain
and if my motor takes a dump i may do a custom build like a 408 or etc but at the moment the above listed is list of mods for now
plus i'm in the works of doing a 7in lift and 40s so i will be rear gearing it too

so hey you. would it be a smart idea to just buy this SCT DCX "Can" tuning with 9550 tune. it doesn't have custom it just say its for stock to bolt on motors its 265.00

The canned tunes are designed to work on a basically stock motor. It is an improvement over what's in there now, some notice a lot more than others. Chrysler compromises on some things between power, economy, emissions, and parts longevity....... Hemi's tunes are more geared for power/performance. Some folks get better gas mileage WITH his tunes..... (but, not immediately, as they tend to develop a heavy foot that LIKES the new found power.)
Custom tunes are required when you start straying too far from stock. Big valve heads, lumpy cam, bigger injectors, forced induction..... That kind of thing.
