A virus.....not really. It is a program change that Dodge incorporated into the PCM to remove some undesirable symptoms without fixing the cause of the problems.

how should i be able to tell if the plenum is bad or wat not ...im not a big engine wiz or anything

Go to that link and read up. If you have or think you have any of the symptoms there's a good chance it's blown if it's not already been replaced.
