new/old truck,heres all the problems...
just bought truck off of friend for 1200dollors,nice truck,lots of problems,gettem solved 1by1,the poor thing couldnt get to 55mph when I first drove it now its up to 85!!woohoo,lol,anyways replaced tires they were dryroted then timing chain it was real bad,next plenium gasket,its leakin BAD!!o2 sensors bad I think?! gettin p0171 and p0133,exhaust is old too,but givin all these problems I cannot believe this old truck runs as well as it does!!!!!this truck was severely negelected!its a 96 3.9 did they have egr valves cause it looks like it did and I want put it back if it did,I want to bring her back to life any suggestions would be cool!!I drive it all the time!not so much lately!(p0171)suks Gass!possitive thats o2,whats right gear oil for rear end and 5 speed manuel??

96 was a transition year for EGR. It was the first year of OBDII, but, I think dodge still had some left over EGR manifolds, and just put block off plates on them. (my 96 also had the EGR manifold, with a block off plate, and I have never seen an EGR code.)
Check your cat, see if it is clogging. (a result of the blown plenum) Replace at least the pre-cat O2 sensor.

thanks will do!I suspected cat!but your right I bet the damage is from clogged cat was thinking of taking it off till I get money for one but I dont want it to keep running lean,so its either cat or plenium,that kit cost 119.00,or 34.00 at autozone,autozone is just rubber gaskets,found cat, cost 140.00-200.00,but was wondering if I just cut cat off for now and replace gaskets!do u know if that would keep it in lean condition,moneys tight right now...cleaned injectors today runs damn good!!!!still lean bank 1,lol
