Default Does My 96 Ram 1500 have Remote Door Locks?

Well, I bought it used and the guy didn't give me or mention anything about remote door locks, so I was wondering if it had one.

If not, could I add one?

Thanks.

I bought my viper unit for 200 installed from bestbuy, I like it except the lock and unlock button are the same button which is kinda lame.

Oh, It had a viper key chain, but I thought that that was for an alarm? The buttons on it look like "I" and "II" and I don't think it works :/

Thanks!

It is an alarm but it also locks and unlocks the doors, wait do you have the ability to lock and unlock your truck with a switch on the door?

I honestly couldn't answer that without seeing a picture, if you have a key chain remote than I'd just ask a five year old to explain how it works to you lol

Neither of the buttons on it do anything but light up the LED, and I just replaced the battery. Here's some pictures of it:

Sorry about not being able to embed the images, they are too huge and I don't know if its possible to resize them with the image tag.

How would I reprogram it? There is a little button on the inside of my truck that doesn't look like it was originally there, its on the center post thing that separates the driver from passenger.

Thanks!

Is it a little button on the end of a string type thing? If you push that once (or hold it) it's supposed to activate or deactivate the remote abilities. I'd try that first and those remotes look really old, I hope you can get them working
