Default Fuel injection intake

I was wondering if anybody has found a good aluminum intake for a 318 magnum. I want to get one for mine but cant find one to keep fuel injection. All of them are to switch to a carb.

If not, what else is a good way of gaining a little power?

The intake that came on your truck from the factory is an aluminum intake, and set up for fuel injection too.

I would suggest reading here: End-all Be-all plenum thread

Unless you want to get into some machine work on the new manifold, and some fab work, you have two choices for a 'better' intake. The hughes air gap, or, the Mopar M1. M1 will end up being slightly cheaper, but, costs for both are pretty close. M1 is a single plane manifold though, and not really designed for low end grunt. (which is really what you want on a truck.) Hughes is better for that, but, still not as 'good' as the kegger with it's long runners. Several folks here run the air gap, and didn't really notice any bottom end loss. Sure runs a lot better at higher RPM though.

I have an M1, out of boost it has a lot of low end torque IMO. Unfortunately I don't have full pull without boost but if you follow the red graph lines, there wasn't enough load on the dyno to spool it early on that run, you can see 250 ft/lbs at only 2000 RPM. Motor makes 300ft/lbs at 3200RPMs at the crank stock, 2000RPM stock it made about 270 ft/lbs at the crank according to Chryslers dyno sheets. So I'm nearly there at the wheels. If you throw an M1 or Aigap on a stock motor, you lose low end torque, a good tune and a few other goodies and that torque is back.

Compare this these 5.9 dynos (remember, I have a 5.2). The stock keg was making about 260 ft/lbs at 2700 RPM. Unfortunatley the dyno doesn't go as low RPM wise as mine does, but you get the idea. There's no reason you can't have low end torque with an M1 or Aig Gap.

I've driven a friends 98 Dakota with identical drivetrain to mine that's all stock, my truck has noticeably more ***** down low.
