So ive had the sct for over a year now with no problems, ive always had it on the 93 octane tune but I recently lost my job so today I decided to install the 87 octane tune while I was filling up to save a few bucks at the pump.

Well I filled up hopped in and started to retune to 87 as ive done a few times before. I went through the whole procedure you know; turn key on, leave engine off... Ect. It powered down came back on, started writing the tune, it got to about 70% and just turned off, and turned back on.

I knew something was wrong right away, usually the tuner makes a congradulations tone! And say tune successful.

So I contacted sean powell right away via email, he reply within 20 mins! And told me to try to disconnect the battery wait a few minutes a retry.

Well after several attempts I decided to call my friend with a cummins to pull me home.

So now I contacted sct tuning a asked them to help me, and send a recovery file,

So what do you fellow sct users think?
Did the tuner fry my computer?
Is there a cheap fix?
Also where can I find a cord to connect my tuner to my pc? All I have is usb devices and no plug that matches the tuner.

Thanks
David

Oh yeah the truck cranks over but its almost like theres no fuel.

Diconnected the 3 main plugs at the computer and it does the same thing.

Almost as if its not picking up the pcm.

My brother has a 01 parts truck that has the same motor trans and 4x4 do you think I could use his pcm to get by for a couple days?

I dont see how a tuner would fry your PCM. If it is something cause by SCT i would hope that they will help you out cost wise.

Well it only cost me $20 to have a buddy pull me home, I did it not to long ago for him at the same price.

I just found a pcm for a 99 5.9l 4x4
For only $40 would this work?
