Maybe its your springs that are making the noise.. Get someone to turn the wheel back and forth while your under there looking for anything that dont look like it should. You should be able to find were the noise is coming from.

Working at an alignment shop I found a can of WD40 works pretty good at finding where noises are coming from. Have someone crank the wheels back and fourth and use the straw to direct the spray to different joints. Even narrowed down a ball joint on an explorer once so it's worth a shot.

Could be something as simple as swaybar brackets.

If the waterpumps are the same as the LA style small blocks which I believe they are, below the snout on the water pump(where the fan/pulley bolts on) there is a small weep hole that coolant will run out of if the water pump seal fails. The fan usually blows the coolant around so it's hard to tell where the coolant is coming from. I've also had a few water pumps fail and create a vibration that follows the rpms of the engine.

Also, you say that you overfilled the antifreeze? The overflow bottle should have some sort of a hose run down to the bottom of the radiator that lets excess coolant escape. If the coolant expanded and forced the coolant out of the bottle the fan could have sprayed it everywhere or your hose might be cracked or missing spilling the coolant higher up and making a larger mess.

Let us know about the overfilling the coolant as that might be all the problem is.

I overfilled it a lot so I hope that's what it is I will look after work, where is this hose that would force the extra coolent out?

Not 100% certain on the late models, but there should be a hose that runs from the radiator neck to the overflow bottle which transfers coolant back and fourth. Then on some bottles there is a second hose that is usually attached to the bottle that just runs down towards the bottom of the frame so the coolant will just run out on the road instead of spray all over the engine. Some bottles have a molded tube that looks like part of the bottle instead of the hose.
