Cool Lift

I really like the setup of this truck. Lift and tire wise...

It says that he only has a 2 inch lift in the front.... I have the same year as him. Do you think I would be able to squeeze 35s under a 3 inch lift or would I need a 5 inch? I dont want the tires to look small by having a too big of lift but i also dont want alot of rubbing...... Any thoughts?

The truck in the link is a 3/4 ton. The heavier trucks sat a couple inches higher than the half-ton guys from the factory, that's why he can get away with big tires, with only two inches of lift.

It all depends on what you like and how you plan on using your truck.

For 35 inch tires, a 5 inch lift would be about perfect. Keep in mind though, if you have the stock 3.55 gears still, the big tires are going to beat the crap out of performance, and fuel economy, not to mention being harder on the trans.

Yepp, I got some 4.56 ready to be put in then the tires get put on...

Perfect. Get your five in lift, get the gears installed, and enjoy your 35's.

I have a 4 inch lift with 35's on a half ton and have had no tire rub...think 4 is the min you can go

I think 4" is perfect too but its just not a common lift for our truck. Plus with a 5" lift you have all the options of just how much flex you are willing to pay for
