A question I got on this is what is the Real Mileage Difference between the Transmission problems the 46re's had. My truck has been slipping since 2007 (so 4 years) and it Does Horrible on Fuel Mileage. Now My Dad has a 24V Cummins (5.9L) has a 9 Month old Jasper 47re transmission and it runs 10 - 20 MPG anytime on Stock Setting and gets 10-14 on Level 3 on the Edge. My truck (360) goes through 1/4 Tank of Gas driving 6 Miles at 70 mph. For This topic i Recommend Cummins Or V10 all the Way. V10 has a Nice Sound but sucks Gas Like a Pot head does Pot. Cummins is reliable, Powerful, modifiable, & gets mileage, V10 gets bad mileage then my Dodge is Atrocious LOL. The way to go is Power because not the Transmission hell but There's Transmissions Built Heavy For them (ATS, Jasper) So a 360 is almost Ball-less to Cummins.

I'm callin' bull**** here. Ain't no way you're pouring more than a gallon of fuel per minute through that engine.

I calculated mileage a few weeks ago, getting about 13MPG in rural/city driving. No clue about highway at the moment. And that's with a blown plenum and possibly clogged cat.

Definately not. Until you fix the plenum and clogged cat.
