ok also because i am not running egr i can do the 97 up m1 correct....

does this seem like the best price... its almost $200 cheaper than summit

I come up with .5525 with the 1.7's..... Gonna need a bit taller springs.

I think the 319 buck one is the one you want. Everything should just bolt right on. Merc225HP has one of these I do believe.

ordered the intake and going to have taller springs put in the heads....i got that intake for 319 seems really cheap so i am gonna call and double check tomorrow. got a 53mm tb from fastman....geeze my retirement fund is running dry...good thing i am only 24. Now my big issue is injectors and where to get my pcm tuned.

jegs has crate motors with this same build and say they are 500 ponies.....it sure would be nice to see big numbers like that even as big as my truck is she should still move pretty good

Trouble is, those crate motors develop most, if not all... of their power in the upper RPM range. Little to nothing down low, where a truck needs it. Unless you are building it for mud runs..... What's the RPM range for your cam?

I would not even get the 1.7 rockers. Just get 1.6 roller rockers that are cheaper. 1.7s are for guys who are NOT putting a cam in. It is best to not mess with the valvetrain geometries because cams are ground for specific reasons.

says sweet spot is around 1800-6000....so thats about where i will be i am going to got with the aps trans and a 1800 stall converter. i am going to be happy if i hit over 400 hp as long as i can get it below 3 grand

you know that the 319 dollar one is right hand linkage. Not like ours, so you will have to mess with it.

I already have the 1.7s sitting around thats why i wanted to use them....i am having the motor built buy a buddy of mine who own mustang specialties down here in pompano beach fl....he does good work and has built a few la blocks i know of...i trust his work even though hes a ford guy lol....i am just trying to figure out this injector thing and now wondering if the cam/ rocker combo will be to big. then it will be on to the computer wooes

so far i have ordered
the 408 kit from eagle
edelbrock rpm magnum aluminum heads
520 lift cam
gasket set
double roller timing set
high volume oil pump
high volume water pump
m1 intake
mopar performance lifters
fastman 53mm tb
mopar valve covers.....i am sure there is more but what else can you guys think of i got a spare 360 out of a truck from work so i am going to build this motor and run it on a bench dyno first before i drop it in
