Stick with stock ratio rockers, sell the 1.7s. (how much ya want for 'em? know anyone that needs some GM 1.5 ratio comp cams full rollers? Trade???)

I think the stock injectors are good for up to 450 or so..... talk to the guy at Five-O motorsports. (another ford guy....) He should be able to set you right up.

As for engine management, As opposed to sending your PCM out to be tuned several times (at 250 bucks a pop......), might consider a standalone system..... and bypass it completely. (PM Hahn's5.2 for additional info on that....)

Hey you, I know I mentioned five o in the past. But I would recommend:

Fuelinjectorconnection.com

Some people from Cali have told me things about Five0 that are not so good. Like the injectors are sold as new but they are reman. So you pay new price. I paid 285 for my 24s and I had to talk him down.

Besides, you don't want to talk to a ford guy about fuel injectors because of the rating. Fords run at 39.5-43 PSI and we run at 49-50 PSI. So a 24# inector will rate at about 26# on our trucks.

Although, I would think that the blue demon 24# injectors would work with a 408. Maybe 36#. Ask the guy at FIC. He knows his stuff and has vids on youtube

What type of roller rockers do you have? Because the harland sharp NON ADJUSTABLE roller rockers will not work with eddy heads.

It's a 4bbl.

Be careful when looking at M1s, often the pictures will show a 2bbl but it's a 4bbl part number, the 4bbls are a lot cheaper than the 2bbls. Then again a 4bbl should be fine on a 408. Just look out for used ones, they're a lot cheaper than new.

Time to invest ALOT of money in that block!

This is only the beginning

I PM'd you, let me know if you have any further questions.

Eagle cranks are NO GOOD. There are plenty of dakota guys that will concur. They like to break in half.

Be careful there are two versions of the 4bbl M1, one for the Magnums, and another for the LA. You shouldn't be buying a 4bbl anyway...

A 4bbl is fine on a Magnum 408, as long as it's EFI. Even a 4bbl carb is fine if you're into that kinda thing.

Yeah, but then you need to buy the adapter to use the stock (or stock style) throttle body. The two barrel feller, it just bolts right on.
