Stock ratio is 1.6. Don't go 1.5. You won't like the result.

thanks you saved me some research i was just looking if they were 1.5 or 1.6....but you knew what i was thinking

Ok stupidest thing of all go to start putting freze plugs in so i can bolt intake up tonight and the freeze plug in back of the block seems really loose. GRRRRR!!!!!!!!!!!! now i am off to part store to rummage through boxes of plugs to find one a c hair bigger. Just wanted to give you guys a update on it block is together and good heads were on now off to get milled down wanted a lil higher compression ration. than the 10.2 it had

Default Got your lifters yet?

Keeping an interested eye on your progress. I ended up using Meiling lifters and they have been flawless. How about having your truck sit for two weeks and have zero lifter bleed off!
I am running on the razors edge with my compression ratio..10.5. Here we can get 94 octane fuel here but watch out for any that is stale. I do slip in the odd bottle of boost if there is any (and I mean even a whiff) sign of rattle.
There is room, I believe, in my tune to slip in a slight upgrade in a cam with more duration to relieve compression if it comes to that. So far I have had to use octane boost very rarely.
Use a good coil and ignition system. Good luck with your build.

just read this whole thread here at work ( yeah its slow today)
i love the part where i say i dont want the motor build to take 6 months...well tonight i got a surprise for you guys got some pics comming and hopefully the startup video
