i've never added a tranny cooler before and i'm guessing that most of them are universal fit.

Yes, you can order them with the barbed hose fittings or the AN fittings as well, and they all have instructions for installing them in 1 way or another. If you can do a tune up without breaking something, you can do 1 of these with no issue.

Can you say "search button" ? B&M tranny cooler is probably the best.

+1 for the b&m. It bypasses the fluid when it's cold so it helps to regulate the temp to where it should be.

Besides that, you want one that's fin and plate not tube.

put the biggest universal cooler you can find on the front of the radiator. run 3/8 hose to it and use only auto transmission hose at about $3 per foot.

remove the check valve at the end of the hard line at the frame near the radiator.

i had a well known transmission guy poo-poo my plate cooler and replace it with a tube. said it flowed better, worked better, and was less likely to get stopped up because it maintained high pressure all the way through. the plate cooler sort of oozes the fluid through. it might have higher cooling capacity per size, but he still didn't like it.

here's some pictures for you.
