Default parts for a 98

Hey guys i know this is a rather stupid question I have a 98 2500 i know all about the 1998.5s and how they changed things. My truck was manufac. Aug of 97 so it doesn't fall under that category. Im looking to order tow mirrors and a few other things soon, my question is do i order for a 97 or a 98? I don't wanna wind up with parts that don't fit because of the whole 1998.5 deal and what not.

I guess it would depend on what the "few other things" are...I dont see how tow mirrors would be effected since the doors are the same after 96 and even that was just a change to the bottom corner?

A lot of stupid little things changed Internally on some parts. Like the dash mounts for a 98.5 and later are slightly different, so a dash out of a 98.5 wont fit right in an earlier truck without modification and I think that might be the case for the mirrors as well I'm just not totally sure.

You'll be fine, I had a 98 with a 96 door on it. And I mounted the 98 mirrors with no modification. The dash from any 98 will fit 99 and up no problem, they just moved a couple things around that are easily unscrewed and swapped . However, 94 to 97 dashes are completely different.

Thats as far as mirrors as dash goes. You have a quad/ extended cab or whatever they call them. So the door itself from a regular cab will not work on a quad or whatever.

thats what they changed...I have a 96 ext cab and doors from a 97-up extended cabs have square lower corner...mine does not because it does not have rear half doors..
