Tranny problem maybe?
He is thinking about reusing the stock pan and just taking the extra bolt length out of the equation with shorter bolts (per dodges suggestion) or by using washers on the bolts as others have done without problems according to another jeep forum I was reading...
Trae thats something you may want to do while you've got it apart..
doing the kegger mod is not possible without a new plate? why is that?
Also what are the benefits of the kegger mod?
Thanks i really hate doing this right now i was hoping to save some money and do it right replace everything all at once. But Murphy and his damn law...
Edit:
alright so the parts i have are:
thermostat
thermostat gasket
bypass hose
intake gaskets
plenum gasket
throttle body gasket
and tty intake bolts from the dealer.
Anything else i'm missing before i head out?

there's a DIY on it with pics in the DIY section... I believe it can make more power in the mid and upper rpm range... plus the older rams have a divider plate that they removed on later models that they found hurts performance.. so you can cut it out. I plan on getting a modified 52mm throttlebody to go with it to aid in pushing more air.
as far as not being able to use the stock plate with the kegger I also am curious why? it thats true I may buy the ebay plate when the time comes but I dont see why it would be?

Alright. So far so good. Got it all apart today. Get it all back together tomorrow if everything goes according to plan. How clean does the inside of the keg need to be? And whats the best way to get it clean?
Some people use diesel or kerosene but degreaser will work fine too...
I would try to remove any heavy or sticky buildup (remember gas gets sprayed into there and mixed with intake air so you dont want anything to get sucked into the combustion chamber.)
FYI did you ever find out why your tranny fluid was foamy? was it low when read in neutral?
