Yeah you need a plenum, any oil in there is bad oil.

I just replaced my plenum and the truck runs good again but when I remove the o2 sensor it runs alot better.

A bad plenum ruins a cat, so I would guess you need both.

If your in a non test state, then you can hollow it out - probably not legally.

I dont have all the tools to do it. Id like to get a tap die set and i need a torque wrench.

Under 100.00 is that just replacing the gasket and not the plate itself?

My state does testing. But i am going to cut it off tomarrow and straight pipe it just to see if that fixes the problem before i go and spend money on a new cat.

if money is An object I suggest just replacing the gasket and be sure to add washers to the bolts holding the plenum plate down..they were too long for the holes and often bottomed out before sandwiching the gasket to properly hold it in place...If you truck is basically stock thats all your ever need to fix it right. also try replacing the pvc valve first...they are supposed to be replaced every 24,000 miles..when they fail they cause oil to get sucked into the plenum area which is a likely event.

I would be more concerned about the frothy fluid I cant so many have overlooked your comment...
Where you have that you have a transmission thats not being lubricated and overheats and burns up fast!
You are checking the fluid level while in neutral right? it will look higher than it really is while in park and should never be checked that way. If so and its still above the safe section you need to loosen the pan bolts and drain some

Have to replace the intake bolts regardless. They are single use bolts.....

yeah Like Hey You said the intake bolts are a one time use TTY bolt. But yes if you use washers that are at least 1/16 of an inch you can reuse the stock plenum bolts... If you vcan find slighty shorter bolts you can go that route also..

That's the stuff you need, but not the brand(s) I would go with.
