Oil in the intake...still
I had tons of oil in my intake as well. Plenum gasket ended up being ok, it was from an aftermarket/bad PCV. It was suggested to me that the oil could be from excessive blow-by as previously mentioned. If you check the compression, you'll know if there is an issue there and let you know where the general condition of the motor stands. It's easy to do and won't hurt to know.
I just need a compression testing kit, correct? I will get the new PVC as Zman pointed out just to make sure I didn't recieve a faulty one from Dodge.

yeah, I went to Advance Auto and got their cheapest tester ~$30. Pull the plugs, the connector on the coil and the Fuel System relay in the engine compartment fuse block. Screw the tester hose in the spark plug hole, attach gauge and turn the motor over 4-5 times using the starter. Repeat for each cylinder. The gauge will stay at its highest reading until you release the pressure(after checking each cylinder). Minimally, you should have 100psi in each cylinder.
I also got a leak down tester because I feared the worst. Fortunately, I didn't need to use it.

just did mine today, I had never done it before either. I tried to cheap out and use a regular air pressure gauge and a bleed off that I already have. Don't do that...trust me...it doesn't work

Fair enough. I love this truck even though I bought a rusty POS. I like the challenge or figuring things out and knowing that I don't have a $500 truck payment every month. I just pour that same amount into this getting her up to speed...
If the plenum gasket is intact, then the only source of oil to the intake is the PCV. The amount can be excessive if the PCV was NOT from a Dodge dealer. Or purely broken.

Mine still has a pretty hefty appetite for oil, and it doesn't smoke... nor does it leave puddles on the ground under the truck.... I think there is a mini black hole in the oil pan that absorbs it......
It hasn't really been using oil yet but we'll see. I really think the Valve seals were the final solution for the oil consumption but the PCV may have been the residual oil in the kegger.
Now I have to track down the source of an annoying noise coming from the 5-speed. I get a weird clicking noise sometimes that goes away when I put the clutch in...
