Default D Range Tires?

Going to purchase a new set of 315/75/16 tires next week sometime my question is would i be ok with d range tires? i know the trucks call for e but from what I've read else where d range would be fine. Gas truck so it doesn't have the extra diesel weight, and i never tow anything just occasionally throw a few things in the bed but nothing heavy.

D range tires will reduce your load capacity, but, that's it. Pay attention to your weight (of the truck..... not your waistline.) and you will be fine.

D load range is plenty for a 2500, both D and E load ranges are for 2500 and 3500 trucks, load on a D range is maxed out around 2500 pounds at the minimum

I've run nothing but "D" tires on four different trucks over the last 16 years, including a Ford 7.3 diesel and have never had any issues whatsoever...

Aslong as you do not exceed the weight limit of the tires you can put any load range tires on you want.

I run D rated 315/70/17's on my 2500 and tow 10k lbs fairly often. No issues here.
