got home from work about 4 pm today. so i took off the oil pan, got really paranoid bout engine failure due to that nut i found in the oil pan. than i removed the oil pump. than i went down to my basement and scrubbed a couple of the parts. heres the picture of the oil pan and oil pump. also are before and after pictures of my starter.

i need some help here... i took off the oil pump yesterday than today after work i took the two bolts out the rear main seal assembly however even though i took the two bolts out the thing doesnt want to drop so i can replace the seals. i am afraid to damage it ( although it already looks damaged. ill post pics) i try to tap it LIGHTLY with a rubber mallet no go. i try to stick i presicion screw driver ( i dont want to scar anything. any any ideas???

Do what you are doing, tap it back and forth(front to back, side to side) while pulling, do not stick anything in there to pry it out.

If you are talking about the gasket, of course you need to clean and replace. I really hope you have atleast a Haynes manual dude.

It's a casting. No big deal. If it makes you nervous, you can clean it up with a dremel, or a file of some sort, just make sure its REALLY clean before you put it back in there.
