problem
After all this much time, you still have the same problem. And asking for advice, yet refusing to follow it is problematic. Finding reasons not to check the plenum has taken more time than checking plenum would have taken. If plenum is blown, and cat is clogged, and O2 sensor is bad, you will get these symptoms. And the bonus prize - you may crack the head!
Part of the logic model is to check and verify things to either confirm them as the problem OR eliminate them, allowing the focus to shift to another possibility......
CARRY ON!.........

took my map sensor off today just woundering if it can be cleaned and how. or how to check it to see whats wrong with it or is it just 1 of those things u just replace and hope that fixes it . i cant find info on it i can only find info on the cummins map sensor
There not fairly inexpensive like some of the other sensors, so I for one won't tell you to replace it. Your money would be better spent getting a Haynes and testing it. But, I'd remove it and make sure the small hose behind it is not broken first. And I've seen plenty of time's a MAP code coming up, when it was actually some other vac leak or problem.
