Default thermostat

alright well its that time, its starting to get real cold and i have no heat unless i drive it for 30 mins, my question is where should i get it and what temp do you guys suggest, i dont want to run a 210, i was thinking either a 195 or 180. what do you guys think?

195 is what Dodge installed at the factory, that's what I run.

i just used a 195 myself as well, fixed my heat up my thermostat was stuck open and since im dumb i waited till it was cold to fix this problem

Stant Super-stat for about $12 or so.
195* for the northern climates where you need the heat.

like all t-stats, test it in a pot of water on the stove to verify it works right and opens up before the water starts boiling.

another question, would my thermostat being bad, make my truck run like complete garbage?

Is it overheating? That's the first sign. Unless the gauge broke.

Just got one of those and installed. Had drive 20 miles out of the way to find a gasket for it though.
