cheaper plenum plate
ok stupid question here but how are you guys torqueing down your plates? i have 3 of the clicker style torque wrenches. my 1/4 in one goes up to 50 inch pounds which is fine for the first round of torqueing then my 3/8 starts at 120 inch pounds and my 1/2 in starts at 30 ft pounds. so how do i get to 84 inch pounds? it converts to 7 ft pounds but i haven't been able to even find anyone that has one to go that low. how accurate does it really have to be? i do have an old beam style with the pointer needle but didn't know if that would be concidered close enough because it only has the lines at 5ft pounds and 10 pounds so i'd be guessing to get them to 7. any advice?
thanks

2. Follow the directions on install.
To convert foot pounds to inch pounds, multiply by 12.
To convert inch pounds to foot pounds, divide by 12.
3. Don't eff it up.
Ok so question. I have an 01 1500 5.9 4wd. It is giving me issues and kind of lost. What are the signs of a blown plenum. My vacuum is strong and runs great until warm then starts acting like it is missing. This only happens when it hits high gears. Plugs are new as cap and rotor. Brings code for evaporation cannister. I use my truck daily so tearing it down without knowing is not what I want to do.
Chrysler does make a lot of vehicles in Canada ( a bigger % of production than GM and way bigger than Ford) but each plant only makes one platform. AFAIK its only Minivans and unibody cars (300, Charger, Challenger, used to be LX, Concorde , etc). I dont think they've made a body-on-frame vehicle in Ontario for a very long time.

I guess I should change the wires but I have checked the wires in the dark but they didn't light up.
well got it mostly back together just need to change my oil and t stat. i ended up barrowing an old school snap on torque wrench that went down to 5 ft pounds. it was a royal pain thou because it was the type with a dial on top and seeing the needle on the back bolts wasn't easy. i plan to finish it up in the morning and see how it runs now. next on the list is figureing out the trans issues and doing some body work. all of which it's needed since i got the truck but just didn't have the time or the money or at least not at the same time.

So I have unplug the O2 sensor. Be driving it shortly. If it solves the problem what does that mean?
