I have a tube of permatex gasket maker. Is it equivelant to this RTV silicone mentioned. Am I okay with this stuff or should I go find a tube of RTV stuff?

Don't want this to leak after I get it all bak together.

RTV is a brand name, and what the product does. (Room Temperature Vulcanizing. Yes, if you leave the tube out, you will be stuck with a bunch of vulcans. Live long, and prosper......) The permatex stuff is just another vendor for an RTV product. No worries.
