4WD with no light? CAD ain't workin' right. Probably vacuum related as others have pointed out.

Shifting problem: Check that TV cable alignment. If it's dead-nuts on, it's time to drop the pan as someone else suggested, maybe throw a filter and governor pressure solenoid at it.

Report back after checking/correcting those things.
yea ill get the champions. and im pretty sure i already fixed the vacume lines on the cad. a few days ago. and i just bought the tv cable and hooked it up a couple days ago, still same problems but the old tv cable hook was broken. it could still hold onto the throtle body. um any tips on the governor silinoid. or sensor? whats the difference? what will it look like? ive never touched a tranny.

If you are going to replace one of them, do them both. You can get heavy duty units online. (borg warner I think.....) Drop the trans pan, pull the filter, and there they are. While you have the pan down, adjust the bands as well. Grab the appropriate service manual for your truck from the faq section here. (we don't have the 00 manual, so, grab the 01 manual. That will be pretty much the exact same thing.)

Selling one that runs like trash is soooo easy!

Take things one at a time. Remove air cleaner and look down the throttle body with a flashlight and pop a pic with you phone. Post up so we can see. Probably runs like crap for several reasones, one of which may be blown plenum, plugged cat, and O2 sensor took a dive as a result.

Also, there is a TSb on the FAQ/DIY section. Routing wires any other way can cause misfires.

Are you getting a CEL? If so, have it scanned and let us know what codes it is showing.

One step at a time.....one step at a time.....

check the DIY section for info on the gov pressure soleniod and sensor they are two things mounted next to each other.... you can look at the little screen it the soleniod and if its just plugged try cleaning with contact or carb cleaner and reusing... or buy the kits on ebay... best price ive found so far and they have a heavy duty borg warner one there that works better than stock.
Its easy I never touched a transmission till then either...

Re read the posts. Plenum is a chronic problem on these trucks. Start there. Look down the throttle body.

I don't know what "took out the firatbo2 aensor" means......

If downstreat O2 sensor is bad, the upstream is probably REALL bad. Can you remove cat? Even with this, the other problems will still make it run like crap until they are fixed.

I would get engine runnig right first before I would worry about 4x4. First things first. A truck that runs like crap is still running like crap in 2wd or 4wd....

If you want help, try the thigs suggested, post as much information about the results and someone will be able to help you get to the bottom of it. Frusration doesn't work. Information does.
