Default torn seat question

so I've been looking through junk yards to replace my driver side seat, apparently I'm not the only one that needs to replace it because there are none out there! Is it possible to just switch the bottom of the seats out with one on the passenger side? I have actually seen a couple passenger side seats that are decent! If so is it a direct bolt off/on or is there some fabrication?

Not sure if you can swap them out BUT the reason they split where they split is because of the driver getting in and out with broken springs underneath. Im pretty sure the springs under the cusion are the same so it may be possible to swap the entire cusion as well. anyone that knows better feel free to correct me.

Plenty of people on here have done the swap from passenger side.

Well why wait? There's no time like the present. Unless of course you are like me, "why do it today, when you can put it off until tomorrow" LOL But seriously, I think it's very easy. Just four bolts underneath IIRC.

well i do plan on going back to the junk yard this Saturday (I remember seeing a couple passenger side seats) but I'm just not sure when I'll have the time to put it back in my truck. I'll start having more time here end of Feb, so hopefully good things will happen!

Just swap it at the junk yard right after you pull it. Throw your old cushion in the bed of your truck. Throw it away when you get to it. And then you wont have to worry about it. Then every time you get in your truck you will go "Dag nub, that cushion looks good!" and you drive away everytime with a smile on your face for at least a week

Now you have all done it! My driver seat is torn also and I GOTTA take a trip to the JY as well......I priced original material form dealer - over $3000 for entire front seat! That was not going to happen!
