Default Nv3500 and 360

Will the 360 bolt up to the nv3500. I didnt think there was any difference between the 318 and 360 but they never put a 360 in a half ton with the 3500 tranny. And would the 3500 hold up, its going to be a built 360 round about 450-475 hp

nv3500 wasn't designed to handle more than 300 hp

Ft/lbs, not hp.

Mine has been taking 440ish ft/lbs on boost for ~30,000 miles now.

Yea but the clutch was the same size and the bolt pattern was the same size. Yes an nv3500 will bolt behind a 360. I was just letting the OP know that the 3500 wasn't designed to take the power he will be putting in front of it. He'd be better of with a nv4500

^^^ If he want's towing capability and HD truck-like strength. But the more car-like ratio gaps of a 3500 make it more comfortable to drive and more fun in a hot rod application.

Disagree. The NV3500 isn't car-like at all. The NV4500 is actually better ratio-wise, besides the granny 1st which you wont use unloaded on the street anyways. Neither are meant to have the gears slammed though.
